Dr. Karren Prost

Karren Prost is a veterinarian with a strong passion for public health and preventative medicine. After earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College, she went on to complete a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology) at the University of Toronto. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine and has worked in both clinical practice and research. Her research experience focused on the study of aerosolized viruses in dogs, humans, bats, and pigs.
Dr. Prost currently works as a technical lead on vaccines and provides consulting expertise for a pharmaceutical and animal health company, where she supports the development of vaccine strategies and evidence-based health solutions.
She is also dedicated to advancing community-based veterinary care, working with Community Veterinary Outreach to improve access to veterinary services for underserved populations. She is committed to promoting public health through education, preventative care, and applied epidemiology.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Prost enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter, and their pets. She is also an avid mountain biker.
