Kevin & Scooter

One day, Kevin’s cat, Scooter, returned home with a broken leg. With limited resources, Kevin did what he could—his family helped cover the cost of the initial veterinary visit, but the options ahead were daunting: surgery, amputation, or euthanasia.

As we work with social services and veterinary clinics within the community, Kevin was connected with us. Thanks to our incredible community partner, Westbank Animal Hospital, Scooter underwent a successful amputation and is now recovering well!!!

As Kevin’s social worker shared, “We are filled with gratitude for your part in his story and will never forget the help that was received when it was needed most… I personally hope that I will never need to reach out again for any clients, but I am left with some relief knowing that there are programs like this to help people in our community.”
