King

In 2023, we were able to help King and his owner, who are vulnerably housed in Ottawa. We recently used CVO funds to support medical treatment of pancreatitis for King. In order to decrease the chances of a recurrence, we have arranged an ongoing supply of therapeutic diet, thanks to Royal Canin. King’s person shared with us:

“I just want to say that I really appreciate the help to keep my baby King healthy.

I saved King's life when I got her, but really, she saved my life, and I really don't know what I would do without her. King tells me that I'm going to have a seizure a few minutes before I have it and she has jumped on my chest when I have stopped breathing to wake me up.

(King being sick) has been very hard on me. King is not just a pet to me she has saved my life in a lot of ways. She's all I have as a family member and I love her very much and I don't know where I would be without her.
