We are a national charity in Canada. We provide pro bono veterinary and human health care, serving people and pets experiencing homelessness.
-
We have 11 locations coast to coast
In 2024, we helped over 1400 pets and over 1400 people get care, doubling the number of people and pets served compared to 2023.
Our services for pets include vaccines, physical exams, dewormer, preventative care, urgent care and spay/neuters where funds allow.
Our human health services are tailored by region and include services like vaccinations, dental support, mental health services, housing services, harm reduction, and more.
We work with over 200 agencies across Canada who refer to us, provide human health care professionals, and locations for us to hold our pop up One Health Clinics.

We use “person centred language” which means we say things like “person experiencing homelessness” instead of “homeless person.” This is how our clients have asked to be spoken about. We are happy to help with this language as you craft your piece if desired.
We ask that images used in our stories portray the strong human animal bond between our clients and their pets, as opposed to focusing on the client’s challenges. This means that our images show the joy and love shared between the person and pet.
We welcome media at our events! We do ask that media to make contact in advance about their attendance. We work with many intersectional communities including youth we may ensure that clients who do not wish to be videoed/photographed have their wishes respected.
