On the Spotlight Stage in Ingelheim

This week, Community Veterinary Outreach took the Spotlight Stage at the Making More Health Together Conference 2026 in Ingelheim, Germany.

Every year, Boehringer Ingelheim brings together social entrepreneurs, NGOs, and partners from across human and animal health. The goal is to find new ways to make more health for people, animals, and the communities they share.

We were honoured to be invited to give one of the 10-minute Spotlight presentations. We shared how our One Health model brings veterinary care and human health services together to create better health outcomes at “both ends of the leash.” That approach reaches people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity through the pets they love.

The message we brought to Ingelheim: when you care for the pet, you open the door to caring for the person.
