Tisha, Lexa, Luna, & Baby

Tisha, a loving pet parent, came to Community Veterinary Outreach through the Blood Ties Outreach Van. Later, she was informed her cats needed to be spayed for them to keep their housing and CVO Whitehorse made this possible.

Tisha reflected on her experience with CVO Whitehorse and the impact made:

“As a caring pet owner on a fixed income, I was doing my best to manage repeated litters but could not afford spay and neuter services. The stress and labour involved in finding safe, loving homes for animals I care deeply about was overwhelming. Through Community Veterinary Outreach and the fundraising that supports it, I was able to access care I otherwise could not afford. This put an end to repeated litters and significantly reduced stress for both me and my cats.

The impact on my life has been profound. It has been a huge relief knowing my cats are healthier, calmer, less territorial, and more playful overall. I no longer need to constantly separate them, and my monthly costs have gone down, allowing me to provide better care for Lexa, Luna, and Baby—the three cats I have now.

Most importantly, this support has brought stability and peace of mind to my life. I no longer need to worry about additional litters. Veterinary outreach has improved my cats’ quality of life and given me the dignity and ability to care for my pets responsibly despite financial limitations.” — Tisha
